Baby Slade
A not-quite-newborn newborn session
Baby Slade came to me when he was nearly 2 months old. So not quite a newborn, but not yet a sitter. An elder newborn, if you will. Two months is a bit of a challenging age when it comes to portraits--he's not quite as sleepy and bendy as a teeny baby, but also little enough that he still needs a lot of support. I love a challenge though and don't turn any babies away regardless of age.
We did a lot of unposed lifestyle images and caught some really precious moments. My favorite is the tiny smile as his parents boop-boop-booped around his face. They realized it makes him smile, which is one of those little details you tend to forget about when baby gets older. But I love that it's now captured for them to look back on and remember. I was able to provide a full gallery with a mix of baby-only images + parent and even dog photos! Such sweet memories!
