Leo's Cake smash
One of my favorite things about this job is meeting fresh newborn babies, and then getting to see them all grown up at their first birthday session. Cake smashes are definitely the most fun sessions I offer. Most clients choose an extended session which includes a portrait portion before the mess, the cake smash itself, and then a clean-up milk bath afterward. I like to move quickly through these portions so baby stays interested and engaged. These sessions really show off baby's personality, as each baby tends to react differently to a whole cake set in front of them, a stranger snapping their photo, and a tub of water to splash in.
If you choose me to photograph your one-year-old's first birthday photos, you'll have access to a client closet with plenty of adorable and high-quality outfits for baby. You won't have to worry about shopping for new outfits they'll probably only wear once! I use neutral colors and classic setups for most of my cake smash sessions; these are images that will stand the test of time and still look classic years from now. I do not do Cocomelon themed set-ups and the like, but I do love adding elements of sentimental value to your session, such as family heirlooms, etc. If you're interesting in combining a cake smash session with family photos, that can be added on as well for your convenience.
